About

Author and beagle, carrying their winter weight

Gareth Southwell is a writer, illustrator and philosopher who lives in South Wales in the UK.

He’s been involved with philosophy for over thirty years, is the author of numerous books on the subject, and has a PhD on the subject of “death” (which has been read by exactly four people, including himself).

He also writes sci-fi, and his novels are just a thinly fictionalised version of his PhD thesis, with most of the boring bits taken out and replaced with robots and people swearing in Welsh. Aside from that, he designs and illustrates books for a living.

Sign up to his list for serialized sci-fi novels, philosophy books, essays, guides to self-publishing and book design, and the odd bit of free stuff.

He can also be found on BlueSky.

All books are published through WoodPig Press.
